Private Clients
RGA recognises the confidentiality of our clients and therefore the names of private individuals are not disclosed. However, at present we are working on 3 large domestic new build houses, ranging up to £4 Million having recently finished similar projects, some on very steeply sloping sites with extensive external works and retaining structures.
States of Jersey
For the States of Jersey the most significant structural projects undertaken by the practice are the new Magistrate’s Court, the new States building at Mourier House, three new primary schools and large housing estates. We were Civil and Structural Engineers for the redevelopment of Springfield Football Stadium and undertook serval alterations to the previous airport buildings.
Commercial Clients
For large private companies our largest project was the redevelopment of the old Jersey Electricity Company power station into high quality offices and a Disaster Recovery Unit with a new Commercial Stores building and work on the initial phases of a B&Q superstore with basement car park, later completed as a Design & Build project. That project also included significant underground fuel storage for the Island’s gas turbine standby generator system and also an adjacent new doctors’ surgery unit.
For many years we have worked for one of the local breweries and have undertaken a significant number of structural alterations and renovations of their various old public houses, some of which are Buildings of Local Interest. Latterly, for another local restaurant group, we have constructed new large restaurant facilities.
We are currently Engineers for the refurbishment of First Tower Garage, a listed building. Over the years we have undertaken many repair projects on old buildings, undertaking structural surveys before careful restoration and renovation.
We have worked as consulting engineers appointed by private individuals, private companies, the States of Jersey and contractors under Design and Build contracts. On civil engineering works we are designers and frequently also the Contract Administrators and have designed and administered complex demolition projects requiring structural assessment of fire-damaged buildings.
