RGA Support Local & International Charities, Sports & Events

Christmas Donations

For Christmas 2020 our staff were keen, in lieu of purchasing Christmas cards, to build on our relationship of more than 5 years with CPS Orphanage, Nepal.  This year our donation will support a child’s education by providing one year’s school fees.

Each year RGA donates money to one or more charities instead of buying Christmas cards.  This year (2018) we asked our staff which local charities they would like to support and we are, therefore, pleased to have donated to the following:

and internationally we continue support: CPS Orphanage, Nepal, whose latest newsletter will be available shortly.

Charities we have supported in the past include:

Local Sports & Events

The Jersey Race Club
RGA Consulting Engineers were very pleased to have sponsored the August Bank Holiday race meeting at Les Landes, which featured the Clarendon Cup, in 2015 and 2016.  As the main sponsor we were invited to present the Winner’s trophy both years:

At a recent Jersey Rugby Club lunch when RGA hosted group of clients and fellow professionals we won the prize for closest score and the party unanimously agreed to use the money to donate an emergency waterbox to provide aid after the recent typhoon in the Philippines.

Local Charities

 St Brelade’s Youth Club

In recognition of the work we have been able to undertake for the Mansell family we have made a donation to the local charity they publicly support, St Brelade’s Youth.  Last year they “rescued” the Youth Club which was failing and as a result it is now receiving donations, like ours, and is becoming self-sufficient.  This is very much in alignment with Nigel’s leadership of UK Youth.

We made a donation allowing us to have a Bronze leaf added to their Tree for Life set in their garage at First Tower.

Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey

We recently supported Mark through his challenge to ride 269 miles / 430km through the Pyrenees mountains made famous by the Tour de France and Vuelta Espana Grand Tour races.  He climbed over 25,000 feet / 7,750m burning in excess of 5,000 calories per day so this is a serious challenge!

Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey provides an excellent service here in Jersey and all money raised will be used for the benefits of Jersey residents.  The team based at the Lido de France provide information, practical advice and emotional support to anyone affected by cancer.  That includes people concerned about developing cancer, those living with or beyond a diagnosis or their friends, family or colleagues.
